The Joint ERMC
is comprised of representatives from the Village of Campton Hills and
Campton township and is dedicated to protecting natural resources and
encouraging sustainable development within the jurisdictional planning
area. |

Joint
ERMC's objectives include: |

1.
Promote the preservation of open space |
|
| |
2.
Create and maintain a green Infrastructure map that delineates natural
resource
information |
|
| |
3.
Promote water conservation to protect the groundwater supply |
|
| |
4.
Identify and protect environmentally sensitive areas |
|
| |
5.
Provide input to the Plan Commission and trustees of both governing
bodies
regarding impact to natural resources, wildlife and the
environment |

6.
Educate the community about shared environmental and energy issues |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Awareness about Joint
ERMC's activities will be provided by the newly-formed Educational
Workgroup. The committee will also recommend a variety of community
events geared at educating residents about environmental issues
important to the Campton area. |

An interconnected network of natural areas and other
open spaces that conserves natural ecosystem values and functions,
sustains clean air & water, and provides a wide array of benefits to
people and wildlife. |
