The finance committee is responsible for
reporting to the village board regarding the finances of the village.
Their role is one of oversight and review of matters related to the
revenues and expenses of the village. The Village Treasurer has the
direct responsibility and presents financial information to the
committee. |

FIRE AND
POLICE COMMISSION |
|

The Board of Fire and
Police Commissioners of the Village of Campton Hills, Illinois derives
its power and authority from an Act of the General Assembly entitled,
“Division 2.1: Board of Fire and Police Commissioners,” of Chapter 65
of the Illinois Compiled Statutes. It appoints, disciplines, and
dismisses all officers of the Police Department except the Chief of
Police who is appointed by the Village President.

The Board is
comprised of three members appointed by the Village President to
staggered
three-year terms. The Board meets quarterly or whenever
circumstances dictate.

Plan Commission reviews development proposals, holds public
hearings, and submits recommendations to the Village Board on amendments
to the Comprehensive Plan and area wide rezoning and zoning text
