Solicitors
Door to Door Sales

Village code allows for businesses to solicit within Village boundaries. However, to solicit in the Village, the business must first obtain a permit to do so.

The Village registration process is very thorough before a permit is issued. In order for an application to be approved, the applicant must first turn in:

  1. Application Form:  Application for a certificate of registration shall be made by each individual and by each entity
  2. Fingerprints and Photographs:  The Village shall require every applicant to submit to State and FBI background checks.

Once the Village receives and reviews the background check, a permit may be issued. The permit is valid for a certain time period agreed to by the Village.

When a solicitor comes to your home/business, the Village encourages you to ask to see their permit. If they cannot provide a permit to show they are registered to solicit in the Village, please call the Police, non emergency number, at 630-584-0330. Please advise the address/vicinity of the solicitor, which entity they are soliciting for, if you know, and the time of day. Village code allows for the un-registered solicitor to be fined for soliciting without a permit.

Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call the Village at 630-584-5700.

Old LaFox Road Resurfacing Improvements Project
Notice of Construction

The Village of Campton Hills is proud to announce that construction for the Old LaFox Road Resurfacing Improvements Project will begin the week of May 16, 2016, weather permitting. The roadway will be open to traffic during the construction, however occasional delays may occur at times. The estimated completion date for the project is July 31, 2016.

The improvements will occur along Old Lafox Road from Fox Creek Drive to Burlington Road and consist of resurfacing the existing roadway with new asphalt, replenishing the gravel shoulder, and re-establishing roadway pavement markings. Pavement at the end of your driveway will also be removed and replaced (in kind) so that your driveway will transition into the new roadway pavement.

The project is being funded by Federal Surface Transportation Program funds and by the Campton Township Highway District. Many thanks to the District for their financial assistance.
