The following committees have openings and are looking for you:
  • Finance Committee
    To draft the annual budget, review and recommend short term and long term investment and capital improvement strategies for the Village.
     
  • Plan Commission/Zoning Board of Appeals
    To hear appeals from any zoning order, requirement, or decision, and recommend variations to the Village Board. Also, prepare and recommend to the Village Board a comprehensive plan, zoning, text, and map amendments, and special use permits.
     
  • Water Resources
    To coordinate, prioritize, and implement water resource management strategies.

Notice of Construction
Old LaFox Road Resurfacing Improvements Project

Reminder - the Old LaFox Road Resurfacing Improvements Project began this weekThe roadway will be open to traffic during the construction, however occasional delays may occur at times. The estimated completion date for the project is July 31, 2016.

South Bridle Creek

On Monday, May 23, South Bridle Creek will be closed between Saddlebrook and Lasso for culvert replacement.
Flashing yellow

FLASHING-YELLOW-ARROW PROJECT RED GATE, SILVER GLEN

Kane County contractors will remove and replace traffic signal mast arms and equipment at two key intersections on Randall Road in the next couple weeks: on May 19, 2016, at the intersection of Red Gate Road and on May 26 at the intersection of Silver Glen Road.

  • Elburn and Countryside Fire Protection District's Explorer Post #1357 will be hosting three fundraisers in the near future. Funds raised will be help with registration for the 14th Annual Explorer-Cadet "Hands on Training" Fire School. This career orientated group, ages 14-20, are interested in a career path involving Fire and/or EMS. Please contact Kristy Muench for more information: muench_k@ecfpd.com
    • May 21 - Buona Beef food truck will be at Elburn Fire Station One, 200 E. Rte 38 at 11:30am selling beef sandwiches for $5. Members of post will be selling soda, chips, baked goods.
    • June 5 - Car wash fundraiser at Elburn Fire Station One, 200 E. Rte 38 from 10:00am - 3:00pm. Food and beverages will also be sold.
    • June 25 - Car wash fundraiser at Elburn Fire Station One, 200 E. Rte 38 from 10:00am - 3:00pm. Food and beverages will also be sold.
  • May 21Kiwanis of Campton Hills fundraising event -  Ryker Newhouse Benefit: noon to 3 p.m.  at The Lodge on 64, 41W379 Route 64, Campton Hills. Please click here for more information.

  • June 18 - Picnic on the Farm at Historic Corron Farm -  Noon - 4:00 pm.

  • August 13Old Towne Pub in Campton Hills will host their annual 5K beginning at 9am.
