Campton Hills New Electric Aggregation Program
Lower Electric Rate for Residents!
Beginning in August 2016 and running through August, 2017, Campton Hills has negotiated a new contract with Dynegy Energy Services, providing a lower electric rate for our residents. Residents should have received information in the mail this week regarding the new electric rates.
What is Municipal Aggregation?
Illinois law allows municipalities and counties to negotiate the purchase price of electricity on behalf of resident and small business utility customers living within their borders. While these governmental entities choosing community aggregation would be responsible for negotiating the price of power from a supplier other than the traditional utility, your utility would still be responsible for delivering that power to your home and billing you for it.
Benefits for Residents:
- Lower Cost of Electric Supply to Residents
- Automatic Enrollment
- No need to change your current budget billing
- No need to update automatic payments
