Village President Blecker
Correction to letter regarding Maxxam

Fellow Campton Hills residents,
There are a couple of items that I need to clarify from my letter last week.
First, the decision of the Kane County Board to remand the Maxxam petition back to the Zoning Board was not unanimous. The vote was 21-3. Board member Barb Wojnicki (District 15: Campton Township) and Board members T.R. Smith (District 9: our neighbor to the northwest) and Drew Frasz (District 18: our neighbor to the west) voted no on this matter. On behalf of the Village, I thank them for their support.
Second, I would like to clarify the Village Board‘s stance on the Maxxam issue. The Village Board is unanimous in its opposition to the Maxxam facility. Their only concern is that we not spend funds to repeat any legal work that has already been done and can be reused.
I apologize for any confusion that my last letter may have caused.
