Celebrate Differences Logo

Celebrate Differences

Jeff and Rebecca Christiansen who have a son with Down syndrome started Celebrate Differences almost 10 years ago, in Oswego.  Their goal was to foster a community of acceptance which promotes the best opportunities for individuals with disabilities to exceed expectations and achieve their dreams.

Celebrate Differences offers services for all ages.  Some of the programs they offer are parent support groups, teen groups, play groups and book club.

Phillis and her husband Chuck are very excited to bring Celebrate Differences to this area!  Both are inspired by their daughter Caitlin, who experienced a traumatic brain injury at age
2 ½.  After Caitlin graduated from high school, her parents found there are very limited resources, and the cost for programs were too expensive.  Their desire for Caitlin was to find place where young adults could meet, make new friends, be creative, learn new skills and most of all, be themselves.

With the opportunity to open a second location of Celebrate Differences in this area, young adults will be given an avenue and opportunity to become a prominent part of their community.

As we are in the first stages to offer a wonderful opportunity, please visit our website to see what we are all about and see how you can help.
