Outstanding Citizen Award search

The Village of Campton Hills is conducting a search for the first annual Outstanding Citizen Award.
This award will be given to a Campton Hills resident or business owner operating/living in Campton Hills. The nominee must have assisted the improvement or added value to the village of Campton Hills in the past 10 years.
Application forms are available by clicking here, or contacting the Village office at 
The nominee cannot be a member of the Campton Hills governing body.
Application forms must be submitted and received at the Village office by November 1. No exceptions. The award will be presented at the January 2018 Board meeting.

Community Relations Committee:
To organize and promote local events and build on tradition and history by partnering with businesses, organizations, and individuals to foster community bonds.

Adhoc - Outstanding Citizen Award Selection Committee 

The Community Relations Committee is looking for a few residents to be a part of this adhoc committee to review applications for the Outstanding Citizen Award. Click the bove link and select Community Relations as your first choice and in on of the summary areas, indicate you are interested in the adhoc committee.

Economic Development Committee:
To maintain the economic health of the Village and promote commercial, business, retail, and supporting services which will strengthen and/or broaden the tax base and enhance  quality of life.

Plan Commission/Zoning Board of Appeals
Make recommendations concerning the comprehensive plan and zoning matters including text and map amendments, special use permits, variances, and planned unit developments.
Public Works Committee
To make recommendations on matters such as road maintenance, snow plowing and other such projects. 
Water Resources
To provide guidance and input on matters related to water resources to the Village. To promote responsible, best practices, sustainable and effective use and protection of water resources.

Campton Township 
Volunteer Seed Harvest

Campton Township needs your help as they work to restore our Township's natural areas! One way you can help is by joining them to collect native seed. By collecting native seed, it can be used later to enhance or create new natural areas. Anyone who is interested in learning more about the prairie, and help work to restore our natural areas is welcome.

Please dress for the weather, and for working out in the prairie. If you have any questions, contact us at:

Campton Township 

Prairie Fest

Free Admission
Saturday, September 24, 2016 1 – 5 pm (rain or shine)
Corron Farm 7N761 Corron Road, Campton Hills, IL
The event will feature tours of the 1850s brick Corron home; tractor pulled wagon tours of the savanna, wetlands, and prairie; square dancing demonstrations; Elgin Public  Museum; Elgin History Museum, Native American artifacts,  members of the 1st Brigade Illinois Volunteers; a children's corner; and free refreshments.   Food items will also available for purchase.
Corron Farm Preservation Society members are excited to share that the 1875 Dairy barn rehabilitation and roofing project is nearing completion.  The interior stabilization of the barn by Trillium Dell Timberworks of Knoxville, IL was completed this year, and the new metal roof has been installed.   This work will allow the Society to move forward with plans to provide a space to display the many agricultural implements that have been used on the farm and the carriage and pony cart that were restored last year.

  • Monday, October 9th through Friday, October 13th for north of Rt 64

  • Tuesday, October 16th through Friday, October 20th for south of Rt 64

  • Monday, October 23rd through Friday, October 27th for Campton Hills in Plato

Please make sure your brush conforms to Highway District guidelines for pick-up. Click here for the guidelines to follow. Residents with questions about the brush pick-up may contact the Highway District at 630-365-9300.
