Early voting

Early voting allows voters to cast a full ballot before the observed election day.

Although voters can still go to their polling place on Election Day, this is intended to make voting easier for everyone. This cuts down on lines at the polling place as well as allowing voters to vote when it fits their schedule.

The period for early voting by personal appearance begins on the 40th day preceding an election, on February 8, 2018, ONLY at THE KANE COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE, and extends through the end of the day before election day.

Early voting at early permanent polling places and other early voting locations, begins on the 15th day preceding an election, on March 5, 2018, and extends through the end of day before election day.

You may go to any one of these locations to vote early. Early voting is NOT guaranteed to be conducted at your usual polling place. Polling places will only be open for voting on the observed Election Day.

The ballot is the same whether voting absentee, early or at the polling place on election day.

Community Gardens
Campton Township Open Space

Reserve your 2018 garden plot at the Brown Road Meadows Community Gardens, part of the Campton Township Parks/Open Space program. Information on the gardens, and reservations can be found by clicking here.

Also, we are excited to be working with Colin, of Boy Scout Troop 13, on his Eagle Scout project. Colin plans to build raised garden beds, for gardeners with limited mobility, at the community gardens. Campton Township has organized a GoFundMe page to help raise funds to build these raised gardening beds. Your donations would be greatly appreciated to help fund this very important feature of the gardens.

Heavy Snowfall
Hydrant Clearing

When fighting a fire, time is of the essence.

Fire hydrants are supposed to have at least three feet around them; and a path to access them.

The few minutes it takes
Firefighters to shovel out hydrants could be the matter of life and death for someone trapped inside a fire.

So, if you have a hydrant on your property, please give them a hand and clear it. Thanks in advance on behalf of firefighters everywhere.
